Private Boat tour Capri from Naples

A once in a lifetime experience, from Naples to Capri tour, the most enthralling adventure ever

From the port of Naples to Capri, a tour of the “Pearl of the Mediterranean” that will leave you astonished, even if you have only a limited time to explore.

Capri is rich of countless and fascinating attractions, so that it’s hard to believe that it’s only a four square miles in area. And that’s why you can tailor your tour, choosing a full day experience or a half day boat tour, according to your needs and desires. Here we propose the best way to get to Capri from Naples, a bewitching full day tour around the island and on the island. Are you ready to discover the vacationer’s paradise?

Capri is nestled 30 minutes off the coast of Naples, so that we can get the most of this trip heading to the Sorrentine coastline, admiring the Mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples from the sea. If you wish we can skirt the coastline before sailing to the Peninsula of Sorrento. The Mount Vesuvius is the volcano that in 79 AD destroyed the Roman cities of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Oplontis and Stabiae. Nowadays is the only volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years, a fact that represents a strong problem because of the population living near enough to be affected by an eruption. Its height has been constantly changed by eruptions but was 1,281 m (4,203 ft) in 2010. And that’s why its view is something breathtaking and mesmerizing.

Leaving behind the coastline you will sail towards Capri on your private boat. You can opt for a quick day trip, but we absolutely suggest to book a circle tour around the island and then to discover with some free time the best landmarks of this outstanding destination.
The tour could start with the White Grotto, an evocating and less known white-colored sea cave on the eastern coast of Capri, accessible by boat. After a while you will meet the famous Natural Arch and the surprising Villa Malaparte, an extraordinary example of the Italian contemporary architecture, conceived around 1937 by Adalberto Libera for Curzio Malaparte. The celebrated Italian writer refused the project in order to actively collaborate to built the home himself.

Nearby you will admire the Faraglioni Rocks, one of the symbols of Capri, a legendary trio of sea giants called Stella, di Mezzo and di Fuori. The landscape is so enticing that we can only say it’s… “selfie time”! A snapshot here is a must for all visitors to Capri.
Skirting the delightful coastline we will arrive to the Green Grotto, an exciting caves where the emerald green color of the water inside is intense, provoking the desire to dive.

After a while the captain will show you the monumental lighthouse of Punta Carena, one of the highest and most scenic lighthouses of the Mediterranean Sea. Just after “Il Faro”, well-known beach club we will pass in front of the Blue Grotto.
Upon request, you can enter inside the Grotto with a very small boat to look all the shades of blue.
The great effect of blue sparkling light inside the grotto depends on the reflection of the sunlight passing under the water and reflecting on the internal walls of the Blue cave.
Entrance fee of EUR 14,00 can be paid directly on the spot.

We will land to Marina Grande, to get all free time you wish to visit the island. Capri is a mix of history, culture and Italian Dolcevita Lifestyle. You can walk through the illustrious Piazzetta and take a refreshing drink in one of the coolest spots, it is not rare to meet close to your table some of the most acclaimed Hollywood stars, a popular singer or an Italian actor.

Some history of Capri

The Isle of Capri was a popular destination for tours and holiday since the age of the Roman Emperor and it is also possible to visit the various Roman Villas as Villa Jovis, the summer villa of Emperor Tiberius, that stands from the eastern hills of the island with our boat trip. Villa San Michele, on the north-east of Anacapri, from which you can appreciate one of the most beautiful views that Capri offers. It was built close to an ancient chapel dedicated to St. Michele. Today the house is a museum, where you can gaze at the head of Medusa that used to adorn the Venus Temple in Rome, paintings and statues from the Roman period, the marble bust of the Emperor Tiberius, an authentic Egyptian sphinx and other opera of art collected by Axel Munthe during his expeditions.
The second town of the isle is called Anacapri; very authentic and mostly populated by locals, still preserve the ancient origin of the isle where life is still based on ancient popular traditions.

Local traditional food

The typical local dishes generally contain fresh local fish, shells, lobster and octopus. In addition, the isle gives its name to the ‘caprese’ salad, made with fresh buffalo mozzarella and Sorrentine red tomatoes, with a fresh basil, salt and extra virgin olive oil. The ‘caprese’ cake, on the other hand, is the most famous dessert of the island and is made with almonds and chocolate.

What Clients Say

  • So much fun!

We were picked up from our hotel in Sorrento and driven down to Marina Grande where our private boat arrived. Had a great time onboard, towels and prosecco provided and plenty of room to relax and sunbathe. Our skipper recommend a great place for lunch on Capri which we both enjoyed. Great weather, fantastic way to see the Sorrento coast and Capri. Thank you!

  • Fred is the best captain of them all

We couldn't of planned a better trip. We spent 3 days straight with Fred on the Mediterranean and he made our entire trip. Whether you want to have a leisurely cruise or snorkel in the sea, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much and we'll be back in the near future!!

  • Excellent Customer Service!

We had booked a full day private boat tour for our 10th wedding anniversary; but due to COVID-19 had to cancel our overseas trip to Italy. From the start the customer service and responsiveness Aldo provided was amazing. Although we haven't yet had a chance to go on the tour - I would already 100% recommend this company to my family and friends purely based on the customer service we have received - from booking to the flexibility they offered when we had to cancel/postpone our trip. This has just furthered solidified we made the right choice in booking with Restart Boat for a once in a lifetime experience touring around Capri - we can't wait to reschedule our trip!
