Ischia and Procida are situated in Gulf of Naples, in the Southern Italy, about 30 kilometers far from the city. These islands are part, together with Capri, of the Phlegrean Islands archipelago. Procida is the smaller islands (only 4 square km), but it’s an outstanding destination rich in culture, tranquillity and history.
Here’s below an example of how your tour to Ischia and Procida could be structured, but remember that it is possible to customize your trip according to your wishes and needs.
A private driver will pick you up in front of your accommodation, he will take you to the port, where our english speaking skipper is waiting for you, ready to sail to the discovery of two of the best islands in the whole Mediterranean Sea: Ischia and Procida.
After a few minutes sailing, you will admire Procida, with its enchanted yellow, orange, blu and red houses, its lemons’ gardens and small characteristic little towns. Procida preserves the charm of the ancient fishing villages, while offering several beautiful beaches and bays.
If you wish we can take a tour around the island and then you can get some free time. We recommend to visit the oldest village, called Terra Murata, with the majestic Palazzo d’Avalos: it’s the heart of Procida, almost 90 meters above sea level. This village takes its name from the walls that surround it, built in the 16th century to protect the population from attacks by sea.
After Procida we will sail towards Ischia, the so called “Green Island”, thanks to its lush nature. The Aragonese’s Castle will welcome you: this fascinating highlight will be the starting point of our boat tour. We will continue with the enchanted Grotta del Mago and with the nearby Bay of Sargento, before getting some regenerating time in Maronti beach, one of our favorite location on the island.
You can get some free time on the island and, if you wish you can discover its exclusive and beautiful spas: how about a relaxing afternoon? We can suggest our favorite thermal parks.
Other incredible and breathtaking landmarks are the “Mushroom”, a great volcanic rock emerging from the middle of the sea, Borgo dei Pescatori and Marina di Corricella.
Ischia can offer to the tourists its therapeutic volcanic springs, its beauty spas its stunning clifftop castle at Ischia Porto, its sandy silent coves and its fine local cuisine. You can have lunch or dinner in Ischia and we can recommend, if you desire, our favorites restaurants and pizzerias, to enjoy an excellent sea-food first course or an authentic Neapolitan pizza!
Reserve your day trip from Naples to Ischia and Procida, it’s the perfect adventure for a family and also for a couple looking for a relaxing day.
