We are in an outstanding location, called “Bagni Regina Giovanna” (literally “Queen Joan’s Bath”), it’s one of the most important archaeological sites of the Sorrento region. Its name is related to the Queen Giovanna D'Anjou, Queen of Naples, who was on holiday here between 1371 and 1435, accompanied by her young lover.
The Roman ruin you can see from the boat was a villa, called "Villa Pollio Felice" and it dates back to the first century BC. It is an ancient and slightly wild place, where nature and history surprise you together in an exciting mix. A perfect place for the first stop and to have a bath, isn’t it?
The second stop is the Cascatella di Punta Lagno, a small but delightful waterfall that falls into the sea, an authentic refreshing and inspiring “show” and an ideal second stop if you love to swim.
Did someone talk about snorkeling? After a few minutes sailing we will reach the excellent spot to meet several species of fishes, starfishes and charming marine flora: Punta Campanella.
Sloping plateaus covered with red gorgonians intertwine on the seabed, while the walls are covered with yellow gorgonians. Here you can easily meet near the caves anchovies and parapandoli, while during autumn it is also possible to observe tuna seeking refuge along the coast.
